Can anyone suggest a good microphone to record a classical guitar, particularly one that is accurate and very low-noise? Say, for under $300.
Thanks in advance.

For $300 and under, I've had really good luck with my AT Artist Elite 5100. Great sounding mic for acoustic guitars. Requires phantom power and is considered to be between a SDC & a LDC... a MDC?!? I used it for all 3 acoustics on this recording.... a '66 Guild F-47, a '71 Guild D35 & a '74 Guild MkII AE-5100 mic on acoustics (http://soundclick.com/share.cfm?id=10702934) fenderman2009 February 12th, 2012, 02:05 PM Thanks, 64Strat! And nice recording! |
