Bart Walker won the Albert King Award playing his favorite pickups a new set
From DAllen Pickups called the FlatTops.
He took 2nd in the Memphis International Blues contest as well.

+1 on both points.
Even I can play that number - it's just a technical piece and doesn't make you much of bluesman imo anyway. Having said that it's not like I want to put the guy down - I have nothing to prove since I'm just a legend in my own living room so to speak :-)... so congrats to him.

Please keep I'm mind this was at NAMM and Bart was on auto play. That night he was at Morgan Amps Party and played with a Kid named Zakk Knight the whole place stopped what they were doing and just watched and listens to those two go back an forth. The feeling Bart put in was amazing. If I can I will post what I recorded of that.

I can understand that. I would just rather hear a 3 note run dripping with soul than someone knockout an entire SRV sole note for note. There is a reason why B.B. is the KING. Less is more

Its just weird that a guy would play that of all things. YEh just some few notes stinging I would of been able to hear your pickups better! :lol:
