I found a Eko KD28 6 string online going at £60 (but I want to trade something instead) I'm interested cause I love Eko guitars but I dont know if it's worth it (though if I do trade something for it I'll still buy another acoustic as planned) if anyone has any experiance with one of these guitars and has anything to say about them then I'd love to hear from you.
Cheers

Clearly you should see it...but...if an old one you should be interested but cautious...if its a newish/Chinese one, I am not sure they are worth even 60 pounds (~$120?)...
Saw their booth at a large guitar show here last April...look good from about ten feet but really pathetic up close...terrible fit and finish, and for the Chinese that is really going some!

The family that bought all the original Eko inventory when Eko went of business is the DeLuca Brothers here in Milwaukee. You see an unusual amount of Eko guitars here.
Many of the acoustics were built with laminated or non traditional materials. Some had bolt on necks.
Some of them age very well if they are looked after. Others age very poorly. Necks warp, necks pull away, tops delaminate.
I think you need to see and play before you spend your money.
I played an old Eko 12 string at a guitar shop in Brazil that was better than any Eko that I have played in Milwaukee despite the heat and humidity in Brazil.
It is something that I would not buy sight unseen.
