I know the newer versions of these have an LED and I still never understood why people ever made pedals without them. I haven't done a lot of pedal building/modding but I am handy with a soldering iron and this should be a fairly simple thing, no? I'm just not sure where I need to wire it up. Any help is appreciated

You need a switch with 3 poles (3PDT). Otherwise search millenium bypass.

So i would have to add a new switch? Not sure i understand the millenium bypass thing after looking into it.

Yes, you could replace the switch with a 3PDT wired as seen in the Madbean PDF.

It might not fit though. A 3PDT is about 11/16" square.

With a Three Pole Two-way switch you can use one of the poles just for the LED which is the best and simplest solution IMHO.Second best is the Millenium Bypass if you canŽt fit a 3PDT stomp switch into the pedal. You just need a 2PDT stomp switch, which is smaller. On http://www.guitar-pedals-effects.com/MillenniumBypass.html youŽll find a simple schematic for it."In" goes to the input jack of the pedal and "out" to the output jack."FX IN" goes to the input on the circuit board and "FX OUT" to the output on the circuit board. As you can see,you have to break two wires. The one from the input jack to the board and the one between output jack and circuit board. If this is the solution you choose,I am pretty sure that people here (including me ) will try to help you if you should run into difficulties.

This is a good example what switching used to look like when we only had Single Pole two-way switches. As you can see,it is impossible to have any indicators or even true bypass.http://www.diystompboxes.com/pedals/Jumbo.jpg
