Attention all Canadian residents you now have a Canadian replacement neck alternative.
Your choice of fingerboard radius, contour, vintage finishes, frets, tuners, clay dots vintage or your color choice......
Ready to drop in and string up.
Whether its 2pce, one piece, figured maple, lefthanded we can do it for you.
Im doing this small thread to let you all know that I do replacement necks. I am doing this one for Mark of the Greasemarks out of Toronto. Its a TClass version with compound radius fingerboard modern C shape brass inserts aged Kluson tuners bone nut #155 Stewmac frets close to the Dunlop 6105's. Finish is truoil over amber dye with clear lacquer to enclose decal. I also add signatures to peronalize the neck. This one will go on a Warmoth reliced blonde body.
The only thing is I donnot do Fender headstock shapes any longer just the Canadianbreed designs for copyright issues of course.

That is great to know - always nice to see a Cdn source for things too. No offense to our American cousins - It is nice not to have to worry about customs/duties and exchange is always the same
What's the starting price point for an unfinished strat neck - maple. Is there an up charge for left handed orientation for us south paws?

Thanks. I think its high time we get good Canadian options.
Due to copyright issues with Fender headstck shapes I dont do then any longer. I am not a "licensed replacement neck" builder like Musikraft. The best I could do though would be a paddle neck where you finalize the shape and carry on.
As to pricing a non finished "paddle" neck would run you about $200 or so.

Nice to hear this, so close to home! Look forward to be able to place an order in person.

I should mention there is no upcharge for lefties either. I just flip my template over. If tuners are ordered I simply upcharge the difference.
For those interested, I use ColorFx amber dye and truoil as my main finish.
All edges are rolled to your specs and frets and nut are setup up too.
I use single action traditional trussrods made in-house.

Do you make the T-style Canadianbreed guitars with custom necks too?

I do have a set headstock shape for my TClass and SClass builds. What were you thinking of as custom.

Are these necks finished from imported, shaped blanks, or are they done start to finish from Canadian wood?

All my necks are made from hand selected lumber from reputable Canadian suppliers local to me such as AMWood inc in Cambridge and Exotic Woods in Burlington. I inspect straightness, grain runout and grain orientation and blemishes. Frets are side installed as well not pressed in or hammered.
Your getting a truely scratch built neck.

Just met a customer to hand over his replacement neck. Mark of "the Greasemarks" out of Toronto wanted a neck for his warmoth reliced body. He ordered a flatsawn maple one piece with compound radius with medium jumbo frets and modern C contour. He also got aged tuners and hand made nut and an amber truoil finish with the back knocked back with steel wool to help match the body. We put 11's on her. Oh and lastly brass inserts.
I threw in a free install and setup for him since I was a bit behind the due date. Not bad for $350.
Mark plays rockabilly.
