So I have been drooling over a Martin D-15m at our local music store for a while. Yesterday, I see that they have another mahogany - looking dreadnaught that they just got in. I start playing it and I am just loving it. Just great all around guitar and actually sounds ( to my ears ) better than the D-15m. So I get on the internet and do some research yesterday and discover that this guitar has some eco - friendly features. Laminated neck ( much stronger than even solid mahogany or maple ) with a Richlite fretboard and bridge ( Richlite is crazy strong, totally stable and nearly chemically impervious ). The nut is Corian ( a castpolymer ) and the body is all Sapele ( a more abundant alternative to mahogany ). I have to give it up to Martin, this guitar has now replaced the D-15m on my " must have " list. It is also $ 700.00 compared to the $ 1,150.00 for the D-15m. Here is a little video I found about the DRS-1

I've got a GPCPA3 that has a Richlite fretboard and Boltaron binding. I like the fretboard a lot, and everyone who's played the thing have raved about both the sound and playability. It was about $1500. That DSR-1 is a bargain and I like its looks better maybe!
