Just wondering if one of those Hipshot palm levers would work on a Bigsby Palm bender unit.

They look too short, but I wonder...

Somebody shortened the heck out of my Palm Bender B and G arms on mine and I was browsing eBay and thought, "hmmm..."

Actually thinking of having someone make me some arms.

You could probably stick it on there but you'd have to add a plate, block or something for it to stop on under the adjustment screw. I put one of the D flip levers on a BPP once to see if it'd work and it did but I took it off. As far as the "short" BPP levers, you can lengthen them easily, just cut you a couple of pieces of metal the same width as the lever(s) and drill two holes through them and a couple into the PP lever and "screw 'em on". The original prototype that Al Bruno got from Boomer Castleman had the levers lengthened like that. How 'bout a shot of yours so we can see just how short they are..........JH in Va.

a little short, more than that, I'd like the G pointing up and away from the b one...

....and you can make 'em a whole lot more comfortable, too..!

..these are pieces of ebony (carved from 'black' piano keys) fixed with woodscrews from beneath each lever..

I'll trade you a HipShot B and G bender unit for your BPP......JH in Va.

Hey Knobby..

With a bit of forethought, you could extend your existing levers with a piece of alum fixed underneath, and then do my trick with the old piano keys on top, overlapping the join...just making the bottom surface of the ebony stepped, to take into account the difference in height between the top of the original levers and the top of your extensions....

By the time you screwed it all together properly, it should be quite strong enough for the job...and comfortable too!

...just an idea...
