I've always loved Brad's playing on this one, but never took the time to figure out exactly what he was doing on it. I mean, i tried a few times when i was younger but didn't have the ear to get it. But i finally sat down and got it. Made a short video of the intro. Cheers!

I like that song a lot, good job. I always assumed it was some crazy stuff I wouldn't be able to follow, but after watching you it looks attainable at least. The next part, not attainable for me - can't get that Travis picking style.

Man I wish I practiced guitar.I know what you mean. I used to listen to this song when i was a young player and think "oh man, there's all kinds of crazy jazz stuff happening here, i'll never figure this one out by ear!".

But after sitting down at it i realized that quite often he's just using simple inversions of plain old major chords in his voice leading. There's a few interesting chords in there but its very playable. I haven't attempted his Chet/Merle style picking yet though. Soon hopefully.

I'm still not very familiar with a lot of BP's work and have heard more about him than heard him. The teaser you provided made me want to check out his version and I have to give you both some props. So thanks to all y'all.

What amp or set-up are you using?That tone is my tele plugged straight into my Apogee "ONE" interface run through Amplitube 3. I was using their Vox AC30-esque model amp. Its amazing what a good quality preamp can do for your sound when plugging into sound kind of Amp Modeler Software.

I'm very happy with the sound that this combo gives me for simple practicing purposes. I have 2 roommates and i like to play well into the night, so i plug in my headphones and i still get the tones that i love with no sound/volume issues whatsoever.
