It sounds okay just too noisy.

Stax stax January 13th, 2012, 05:30 AM Actually just to follow this up the chorus isn't as bad as I first thought but it seems affected by my delay pedal whether off or on if I put delay in bypass and pull out dc plug the Boss is okay. The delay pedal doesn't effect any of the others on the board and it makes no difference where in line I put the Boss?? Higgs F. Will post the part nos. later. winny pooh January 15th, 2012, 05:54 PM Its is probably a "psa" power supply boss pedal which runs off 12v. Can create issues when daisy chained with regular pedals. All my MIJ boss pedals would have these quirks when mixed with newer types until I got a pedal power 2, problem solved. I love the finish on the ce-3s' Higgs F. Boson January 19th, 2012, 06:04 PM If you are still interested in modding you CE3, the three caps I mentioned are C7, C8 and C13. Shouldn't alter the sound of the pedal except to reduce the noise level, stax January 19th, 2012, 06:43 PM Thanks I might give it a go but it seems to be some kind of problem between the Boss and my delay (GGG PT80) but none of the other pedals ( all diy, mini boost,Zen and tremolo). The pedals are all daisy-chained off a good quiet supply and I run them all at 12v with no problems,as soon as I put the CE3 anywhere in the chain the noise is terrible, if I put the delay into bypass and pull the dc plug the noise goes ? This only happens on delay not anything else. |
