Hey gents! Checkin' in. I've been playing the lurker around here lately, but never fear, I'm always hovering.
My current musical endeavor, a punk/rock and roll band by the name of New Red Scare, is going to be recording our newest song at a friend's studio tomorrow. We were invited to contribute a track to an upcoming Altercation Records (http://www.altercationrecordsinc.com/) compilation that's going to see some pretty good distribution.
My drummer has recently become obsessed with live streaming junk, so between around 5:30 and 9ish PM, EST, we'll be plugging in and having at it. Feel free to drop by at livestream.com/newredscare (http://www.livestream.com./newredscare). I thought I'd extend an invitation to all the TDPRI recording nuts!
I have absolutely no idea what this is going to look like yet, but the studio we're working in is owned by a good friend who taught me most of what I know about both recording and live sound, and that was enough to make my living in the field for several years.
I think if you log in with your facebook ID you can "chat" with us, but we may be poorly attentive.
Get ready to watch me screw up the simplest guitar parts an impossible number of times!
