amp/delay combination questions for worship

Ei there. happy new year to you guys.

Which do you prefer the most? If your combining delays for worship to add more ambience or space to your dotted eights?

1.Dotted 8th delay to Quarter note delay

or

2.Quarter delay to Dotted 8th delay

or

just Dotted 8th delay


I have a DD-20 which I use almost for everything and I'm also using a Rebote 2.5 analog delay pedal to a AC15c1 with stock tubes. I'm just wondering what would be a good option for stacking delays. I dont have a reverb pedal just yet but for a while I'm using the amp's built in spring reverb.

Tried both but don't hear a difference so I don't care about the order.

If you want precise dotted eighths, then look at a pedal where you can enter the delay time. Unless you want huge reverb, your amp reverb is probably fine. The November issue of Premier Guitar had some good delay options and a good article on delays.

My TC Electronic Flashback does them all.

1/4 note
Dotted 8th + 1/4 note
