boss dd20

Hi can anyone tell me if the boss dd20 will that copy like the boss dd3 or dd5
or will it sound like them

Hi I have a boss DD20 and I like it a lot I've been using this for 5 years now and its still in my board. There's a difference though, I found out and I'm not sure about it though. I only trust my ears for every demo or sound I hear. The DD20 can sound like the DD3, I have one one before and its almost the same tone wise. But the DD5 is a bit different in terms of tone. Its much more crisp than the DD20 even if you change the tone knob of the dd20 to full, you will not achieve that crisp delay that some like and some don't. But if your looking for that tone. I would say go with the DD-5 which is good for dotted delays and keep the DD20 for other kinds of delay or even for different tempos.

Great pedal.I can get it to sound identical to my long chip dd3 and much more besides.
i use the tape setting the most.

I have both a DD-20 and a DD-5. The DD-20 is amazing, but the DD-5 has a crispness and warmth to it that the other one just can't copy. If you get them both used, you can get them for roughly the same price as a new DD-20. Definitely worth it.

I agree that the dd-20 isn't the crispest sounding digi delay.
That works for me better though.Horses for courses and that.
I havnt tried the dd-5,(6 or 7 for that matter) but I like the slight treble roll off of the long chip mij DD-3.
I used to have 3 dd-3's on my board but setting the very exact delay times a lot of our songs use wasn't the easiest so I got the dd-20 mainly for the tape/analog modes,display and memories and it's not going anywhere soon.:)
