We're in the Toronto, Ontario, area and playing at Jersey's Bar and Grill in Burlington this Friday night, December 9th, NO COVER CHARGE!!!

Over the past 5 years there's been enough personnel changes that we no longer do a single group shot. The composite allows us to make changes when necessary without huge cost.

We've always used live shots for the originals/indie/punk bands I've been in over the years.

For my main band, this one (taken by my 14-year-old!) was published in the local newspaper a few months ago in an article about an upcoming fest we were playing:

http://a5.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc6/267276_198567940200740_117815748275960_563502_2612 577_n.jpg

However, we recently were in the studio and took some shots out on the porch during a break, I like this one for a "posed" shot:

http://a7.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-ash4/380836_259390974118436_117815748275960_746475_2394 67448_n.jpg

Here's my side pop band:

http://a6.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc7/392285_10150373353781234_7149596233_8460404_878813 48_n.jpg

Our church's praise band needs a good live shot. All we have is this horrid posed one (which doesn't reflect current membership anyhow):

The guy leaning against my ear was my drummer (Corky Laing) for approx 6 years. We made Billboard and Cashbox a couple of times along the way - #80 or something and went top 20 in Canada several times.

Real trick photography as photoshop didn't exist when that pic was done in the mid-sixties. A couple of years after we broke up Cork wrote Mississippi Queen with Leslie West and our producer at Atlantic Records, NY on Bass in a group called "Mountain" and had a hit record all over the world. Our producer was Felix Pappalardi who also worked with The YoungBloods plus Cream and co-wrote several tracks on the first 2 albums with Clapton and Jack Bruce.

Felix and his wife co-wrote "Strange Brew" which was Clapton's first hit in North America, the recording deals were arranged by my show-biz lawyer in NY who also owned 50% of everything Felix did.

The good old days - I'm doing it again but with different people, recently sold a business and playing clubs is my "retirement plan" for fun and a few bucks.

I'm never quite sure if a duo qualifies in everyone's mind as a "band." At any rate, we have no one official band/duo pic, but here are a couple of candid shots of our duo, Jodie and myself, from gigs earlier this year.

http://www.tdpri.com/telephoto/data/500/medium/The_Alley-Os_at_CCBC_Gig_-_06-15-2012.jpg
http://www.tdpri.com/telephoto/data/500/medium/The_Alley-Os_at_King_s_Crossing_-_July_4_2012.JPG

We call ourselves The Alley-Os. Yeah, it sounds like something from an Irish ditty, but it's based on her last name and mine. Jodie doesn't play guitar (or in her words not well enough to play in performance), but she has a pretty voice and a great ear for harmonies.

We have on rare occasions had a mutual friend sit in as a third, who is a very good guitarist and singer. If that ever becomes a permanent thing, then it will of course necessitate a name change. If so, I will vote for the name The Chick 'n' Pickers.

Furnace Brook Golf Club, Quincy, MA, about 1970. First gig. Dig those Glen Campbell tuxes. I'm playing a Guild Starfire V. That's a Fender Rhodes piano, couple of Twin Reverbs. My Dad is hovering in the background. The drummer was only 15 at the time. Interesting, he was my best man at my first wedding; hadn't seen or spoken to him for more than 20 years. Found these photos, found him and reconnected. Ain't music great?

My turn.

Thought this one was gone and lost forever.
Started this "band" as a joke and, it never got any better. Even when we wanted it to.

I'm the one on the Left- Awe Spicious and my 'brother' Suh Spicious is the one that ain't me.http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c113/vikrude/SBbw180.jpg

We took our cue from Country Dick Montana and told everybody we were from Texas!
They bought it hook, sinker and, line!
"Really? What part???"

We'd say Hurlin' County Texas.

We ended-up working at one of the local Casino's for over 6 years one weekend every 6 weeks or so.
It was a a blast.

I'm sorry that it didn't last longer for you. I really want to see this show!!

In some ways, it has lasted forever!
Been playing Rock since I could crawl.
Made my biggest splash by inventing these guys out of thin air.
Now everybody in this town thinks I'm a 'Country' player. What we did with 'Country' was rub it in everybody's faces!
Beat Farmers, David Alan Coe, Hank 1, 2 and 3, Ozark Mountain Daredevils, Dan Hicks and his Hot Licks, The Beatles, Buck Owens, Merle Haggard, Fred Eaglesmith, Jason and the Scorchers, Unknown Hinson, John Prine and a few of our own.
I dubbed it "Y'all-Turnative".

We are all still very good friends and once a year or so we get together for an evening of bad jokes, barnyard humor and, potty talk.

As a parting shot, I re-wrote a song by Buddy Blue after he passed away.
We recorded it in my studio.
It is on a compilation tribute of his songs by many people like myself.
We are on Track 7 - Drunk Again.

This band is called Drew And The Geezers. We play 6 (or-so) benefits a year. We had a habit of changing our name for every gig so we WOULD'NT develop a following. A friend demanded we have a name so he tagged us with the aforementioned. My son (Drew) is the bass player (on the right), and the rest is self explanatory. This was from a local benefit two weeks ago. I'm playing my Jag in this pic, but the B-Bender is always close by!

This is Spur149. I'm the fat guy with the bad hair, top middle. I guess I should just be happy I have hair. Impromptu picture, great background.

Ok Here's a piture of all of us that you can see. We were two bands Urban Legends and Silver Eagle. We decided to go back to a name we were for 10 years. We are now.......Ambush. The three of us on the right have been playing on and off since 1995. The two in the middle grew up playing music together. We're just a bunch of old farts having a lot of fun together.

Back in the early '80s I was in a band with my brother-in-law and his friends. The name of the band? You guessed it: Ambush!

Ed,
That's wild. We started a new facebook page tonight and we couldn't believe how many Ambush bands were out there all over the country. But it's a good name. And a lot of people remember us by that name.

This describes my band too! We are Slippin' 50 because all of us except our kid drummer are dangerously close to 50. Our drummer just met her 40's. our pic is somewhere above....

due to my ex wife who destroyed a lot of my "stuff" but here are some shots..... The first is "The Gashaus Ramblers" which was a G.I. Band in New-Ulm, Germany in 1959.... notice that the electric mandolin player and myself were both playing through the same amp... Next is the "Variety Pack" which was a trio a couple of years ago at a regular Saturday night restaurant gig.... Next was in Cartersville, Ga. with Ms. Leona Williams. We did some gigs with her down there and also here in Virginia... Next is the "All Star Band" at the Phelps Bros. music festival we do each June in Chesapeake, Va..... Lastly is "Otto Shelor & the Ravens".... This was taken at the Portsmouth Moose Lodge for the VCMA Jamboree that we were the host band for. I play with Otto each Monday night on guitar and mandolin and about once a month at another venue on steel and lead.........JH in Va.

No official promo shots yet, but this was taken at an outdoor around the pool party back in March. I'm second from left. Band's name is "Relapse"

Thanks. We had one complaint by the rhythm guitarist, he's the owner of the eyes... So I made an alternative composition where I didn't use his special funny face look. I like it too. But I still prefer the first one. We sticked them both actually
