Bob Warford with the Everly Brothers in 1971BrianF December 4th, 2011, 08:28 PM Check out these cool videos of B Bender pioneer Bob Warford from 1971 tUV1-L3fy_s QLlN-zsE6P0 string pull December 4th, 2011, 11:04 PM oh yea........great find Brian. Bob has all the great moves. So fine. Larry F December 5th, 2011, 12:25 AM What great singers and musicians. They seem so, so confident, yet holding back for great effect. The ebb and flow of energy is incredible. I would hazard that younger musicians today who thrive on the internet and computers, are not able to carry on such performance traditions as these. Jim W December 5th, 2011, 06:49 AM Great videos. Big fan of the EBs and Bob Warford - I like his playing on Ian Matthews and Paul Siebel's records. Raybob December 6th, 2011, 02:04 AM Great find. Hippies with money! :) Looks like Bob had to leave his Vibrolux at home for that tour. :( bluezguy December 6th, 2011, 08:27 AM Thanks for the vids Brian!!! 1971 was the year I graduated high school and much to my parents' dismay, hit the road as a soon to be forever strugglin' artist:lol: ... my only regret is not having my B-Bender then - didn't even know about them:oops: Rick Towne December 9th, 2011, 12:14 AM Great intro to Bob in the second one. Mur December 9th, 2011, 12:21 AM What great singers and musicians. They seem so, so confident, yet holding back for great effect. The ebb and flow of energy is incredible. I would hazard that younger musicians today who thrive on the internet and computers, are not able to carry on such performance traditions as these. Seen 'em live several times, they started it all and are the benchmark. . . . brookdalebill December 9th, 2011, 10:17 AM Thanks! Rick Towne December 9th, 2011, 12:35 PM The clean production and closeups of Bob's right hand enhance the bender appreciation. These are the most extended recorded solos I've heard. Ormond December 9th, 2011, 06:21 PM I believe he played with the Rank Strangers/Robb Strandlund too.... Panheadless December 9th, 2011, 06:27 PM Chet Atkins had a TV special made back in the 80's, had the Everlys and Knopfler and Paul Yandell and Waylon and Willie made appearances. Great show, I think it's available on DVD. BrianF December 10th, 2011, 12:07 AM I believe he played with the Rank Strangers/Robb Strandlund too.... Yep that's true as well as with Linda Ronstadt 0FiKHaSRMeg |
