I've had this unit for probably close to 10 years (Roland GR-20), but I've never played live with it. I decided to take it today to see if I could find some places for it (I'm 2nd guitar). I've got the full Graphtech Ghost system in one of my guitars.

Well, the bass player has mono, so I ended up playing bass using the synth for the first 2 songs. Then, I used it just to add strings to The Wondrous Cross, played straight electric & piezo for a Chris Tomlin tune, then brought the strings back with the piezo for the final song. I had no idea I was gonna get a workout first time out. :smile:

This is why I bought this thing so many years ago. It's nice to finally use it. I can't wait to use it for the picolo on In Christ Alone....

On the versiosion of "In Christ Alone" that we learned from (I forget who it was), I'm pretty sure the openning line is an Ebow. But a guitar synth would be very cool. I haven't had one in decades, but used to have the original GR500 and then the GR700 back when they were new.
