Odd wiring in a Fender AV '62 Custom Telecaster?

I'm looking to wire my partcaster like a vintage pre-cbs 60's tele and found the current Fender schematic below. The way the 3-way switched is wired as well as the additional .1uf cap seem odd. Were both of the wiring shcematics below used in the 60's? Otherwise which one is more Vintage Spec?

Thx

The Fender diagram is pretty much the way it was through the 50's and easrly 60's. That gave you, back position on switch was bridge pup, mid position on switch was neck pup, and front position on switch was neck pup with that cap that made it darker and bassy.
The Seymour Duncan diagram is for late 60's onwards when it was all "modern" wiring. Back- bridge, middle- both, front- neck!

The Seymour Duncan diagram that corresponds to the Fender one is this:

Oh right...that's just vintage wiring as in the 50's Tele's. For some reason I assumed Fender had abandoned that by the early 60's. Thx for your help
