Bought this 100 watt combo on the Musicians Friend site last night, 149.99 less 10.00 "FALL SAVINGS" discount code. Amp ships free ground 5/8 days.
These have surprising tones for a 15" small combo, refreshing change in size and weight for those of us raised on 370/301. Decent little SS combo at 139.00 shipped IMHO, thought I would mention.

I went to the local GC last night (they are one in the same) and also had the B200 for $299 - way more power and 67 lbs. No top handle (I didn't like that part), but seems solid and well built for what it is. Brought it home and plugged her in with my Epiphone $200 bass from the 90's, and it never sounded so good. Quite tweakable too. Either of these is a fabulous buy - the B100 is the price of a pedal for crying out loud! Always assess your need for 100W vs 200W by playing them both vs the price. I walked out with the B200.. Happy NBAD!!!!

The B200 is the better of the two sale combos for sure but still play the 370/301 with me since the '70s and try not to need that much these days. The B100 is so portable and nearly duplicates much of the punch of the B200, gave both of the combos a good QA and they were both impressive, in fact I was tempted to take the larger one and waited a few days to decide but small and easy was my intent . At current sale pricing, these are a bargain IMHO, for those skeptical, take a look. I was surprised what a 100 watt ss compact can do.

You did well in the small and easy department - I almost went there - but was drawn in by the ability to keep up with a drummer, if needed. It will likely be the "low end" on my current looper setup and available for jam circles in the sun room at my house. I just noticed that I can send an XLR out to my recording device - very cool feature. I love when amps have those.

I just picked up the B100 when it was on sale for $199,00 took in the sale add for $149.00 and they gave me the difference.
Question for you all... When turned on the amp is dead quiet. As soon as I plud in the bass I get a loud hum. This is with gain on about 3 and volume at 5. Should I return for another? My bass has a mini humbucker so I wouldn't think it was that. Although rotating the bass at different angles from the amp do lessen the noise.
Also my wiring in my house is rather old. Not sure if my plugs are properly gounded.
Do others b100 amps do this?

I have the B100. Mine is also dead quite with nothing plugged in.

The input jacks, like pretty much all amps, are shorting type. With nothing
plugged in, the signal input it shorted to ground. A good test of the amp itself,
is to plug in a 1/4" plug with no cable attached to it (just a plug).
On mine I get a small amount of hiss with just a plug. No hum. I do get some hum
with various cables and it is the cables themselves that are picking up the hum.
I'll try my bass as soon I put it back together.

If you have a plug laying around, try it in the passive input. That will tell you
exactly what noise is coming from the amp itself.

Good deal by the way. Decent little amp for the price. I use it for practice but
it ought to be good enough to play a small room.

Considering this amp for at home rocking. How much overdrive do you get with the gain cranked? How does it sound? Is it better for just cleaner sounds, or can you get some decent grind out of it?

Better for cleaner sounds. Most of the OD won't come from just cranking the gain. You have to boost the EQs above 12:00, then things start to warm up and it'll get grindy.
