If i don't have exactly the right resistor, say 2.2M and I'm going to sub in a different but close value (or maybe 2 in series) is it better to be a little high or a little low?

Fixed resistor value is always a compromise because we are stuck with the preferred series. 2.2Meg = 1.0Meg + 1.2Meg bigp7099 November 16th, 2011, 03:44 PM Whether high or low? - It very much depends on the application 2.2 Meg is a very high value, and as such probably makes little odds being exact.
