Here folks, we have a Boss CE2.
It is in near pristine condition.

Apparently these were produced until 1983... But looking at this thing, I'd be surprised if it were 5 years old. Were they reissued?
The sticker is gone from the back, and there's no serial number

The pots don't make much sense... 141f0100KB is all that's on them. Unless it's the 14th week of 1981 I am absolutely stumped.

Here are some pictures.

I can't get my pictures of it onto Bossarea.com which is just doing my head in, so TDPRI to the rescue . . . . . .

Serial number should be in the battery compartment.
No reissues. I, too, had one that looked new.

I wish it were in the battery compartment. Maybe it's faded. I'll rip it to bits and have another look, but I'm pretty sure it was on the sticker. Grr.

Ok, so mine has a big blue capacitor where there should be a black capacitor... I wonder how much difference that makes. Sh_t, have I got a '70s model?

There are a couple of different parts, I think I see a differennt value here or there. The design is certaily the same and most of the parts look the same. I'm no expert but it looks like you may. The real test though, is how it sounds.

Hey man you know better than I do.
I gave it a quick blast the other night before a class I had and I really liked what I heard. I hope I can find another dinged up one to put on the board so this one can sit with the rest of my small colletion... Or is that a bit greedy?

Just while we're here, what is the trim pot for? Volume, intensity...?
