This may be a silly question. But
Is there a service that will make you a custom pcb and ship it to you? I am wanting to make a few pedals that there are pcb drawings out there but more DIY. I don't want to get into making my own... yet

There's a bunch of places that will do that. Keep in mind though, that ordering 1 pcb is going to be expensive. There's a place (I can't remember the name or i'd give the url) that would do 3 PCBs for 50 something bucks. There was obviously a limit on layers and board material, etc. but that won't be an issue for guitar related stuff.

You also need to submit the board files (layout, gerbers, etc.). The place i am referring to had their own downloadable software for doing schematic/layout and generating gerber files.

Wow. $50 for three is steep. I get why.

I'm over it. I'm gonna learn to do it myself. Seems the easier route. We have a great electronics store here I am sure they have everything I need.

I have used ExpressPCB for years. For small projects and prototypes, they are top quality. You also don't need to generate gerber files. They have a proprietary program that is user friendly, and is very powerful. Building components that are not in the schematic or layout libraries is a snap once you get used to it. If you know how to use datasheets, then the rest is easy.

Of all the programs out there, I have found them to be the best for what I need them to do. I am not affiliated with them in anyway. I just know their process well, and I have been very impressed with their quality.
