For an '83 Telecaster? I like the phasing in my Strats, just wondering what it sounds like in a Telecaster, and if many folks are doing this retrofit.

It's nice, just be aware that you have to mod your neck pickup to have a ground on the cover. Use the search function. All the info for wiring the neck pup and schematic for 4 way switch wiring is on here in several places.

The traditional 4-way Tele wiring adds a series connection of both pickups (in addition to the standard parallel connection). The series connection is a more powerful, almost 'bucker-like sound. It doesn't resemble 2 and 4 in a Strat.

Having said all that, I really like the 4-way Tele wiring and expect to use it in any 2-pickup build for which it would be appropriate. As usual - some will disagree with that.
