so far these are my only wine colored guitars. Strat on left has tex-mex pickups with 7 way switching and one on right has a pearley gates bridge humbucker and 2 single texas specials. Love both of them.

which is one of the most versatile and best sounding guitars I have. I've just recently installed a Bigsby Palm Pedal on it to give it even more clout. I love this guitar...........JH in Va.

This is a family shot. The Strat at right is my "Midnight Wine" '99 MIM with Bill Callaham's bridge assy., special wind cryo treated Fralin pickups, cryo treated pots, switch, and jack, Sozo cap, 6105 frets, and an aged pearl guard. I got it for my 16th birthday and upgraded it after owning it for 10 years to reconcile sentiment with the tone quest.

For those curious :)

The center contender is my "money maker" Taylor GC4 with Baggs M1-A pickup and aftermarket Taylor pickguard, otherwise stock.

At the left is my latest acquisition, a Gibson Custom ES-359 with a gold Callaham ABR-1, and the vintage gold top hat knobs (came with black plastic prhk-010 knobs, yuck). Still needs the 18:1 rotomatics to be complete.

Schecter C1+. Love this thing!

I guess technically it's "black cherry", but I make wine as a hobby, and I've made cherry wine.... Good stuff, too.

Hi,

This may seem a strange question and a little off topic but has your cat only got one leg at the front?

We have a tabby that looks very similar to yours and she just has the one leg.

Nice guitar by the way! very unusual looking pickups.

One wine red guitar, one wine red bass & one not wine red tabby. Was your cat born without other front leg, or did he/she lost it in some accident. Glad that cute tabby looks healthy anyway.
My Hugo boy, 17 years after 10 more days, is very healthy and luckily has always had all limbs home.
I like your cat. -Oh, guitar too!

Cassie was a stray that was taken in by my wife Lynn.
She was attacked by a neighbours Pit Bull (the cat, not Lynn), her leg was so badly damaged that it had to be amputated.

That was over ten years ago now. She is doing fine and when you open a can of food you would never know she was disabled.

I guess I need to take another photo, because this has come up the three times I've posted that photo of the Tennessee Rose. I like to take a photo and note the serial number immediately after I purchase a guitar, so that's the way I received it. It has since been set up properly. I'm waiting to take delivery of a copper Tru-Arc bridge, so I'll get another photo when that's been installed.

I've always been partial to P-90's, however I picked up a Hamer Elite recently and it has rekindled my love for humbuckers. I believe it has Duncan 59's in it and they sound good, its also a sunburst so it breaks my cherry streak too.

Your cat and my cat could be twins! My cat does have 4 legs though. Was your cat born that way, or was it some kind of accident?

Thanks for your kind words on the guitar; those are p-90s, I just didn't want a bunch of plastic on the front of it so I made the wood covers out of cherry and maple. I think it looks cool and unique, but they are kind of big and it's hard to do height adjustments. It was the second guitar I built and if I had it to do over again I would do it a little differently.

Cassie, our cat was attacked by a pit bull terrier. Her leg was so badly damaged it had to be amputated. She was a stray but my wife who loves cats took her in.

Congratulations on the build, good job. How do those P90's sound?
I was considering fitting P90's to my guitar shown in this thread.

Visiting my dad in Philly, I brought my new burgundy Guild Starfire II (1999) and he surprised me with "oh, I have one of those" and pulled out his 1966 Starfire III. He'd forgotten he had it (keyboard players! :-) So now I have two wine red Guild Starfires! (anyone want a good deal on a '99)

Good for your wife for taking in and caring for an animal with so much need.

Thanks for the congrats! I really like p90s, and they are great in the archtop, and would put 'em in anything. :)
