Didn't know where to put this, so I'll ask here......
I started out playing in high school and learned in a basement band playing heavy metal, almost exclusively.
Now that I am in my mid 30's, I have no real desire to play that anymore, and have forgotten how to "read" music. I want to start playing blues, like SRV, early ZZ Top, and Jimmy Thackery. Not neccissarily their songs, but that vibe.
Other than re-learning ho to read music, where do I start? I remember MOST of the "cowboy chords" and the barre chord is my friend (i used them instead of power chords when I could get away with it).
Any books or info would be cool....thanks!
