Responding to a classified

I understand that a response to a classified ad is emailed to the seller. How do I know it was even sent or received? There is no record of the message.

I had the message come straight to my email address.

Trust us. You send it and it goes right out.

However there is no assurance that the seller will respond.

Pick up his username on the ad and send him a PM from the forum.
