Henriksen AmpsStevie boy November 1st, 2011, 03:23 PM Any one out there use Henriksen amps? Interested in your thoughts. Thanks! chezdeluxe November 2nd, 2011, 03:16 AM Great amps for any clean playing styles. The EQ variations are superb. My recommendation is to buy the head and then combine it with the speaker cabs of your choice. The Henriksen website http://www.jazzamp.com/ gives lots of testimonials from some real Jazz guitar heavyweights.. Hey they even published my comments about "Tweetey" jazzguitarist09 November 19th, 2012, 01:20 PM I love my 112-ER. I use it for all of my jazz things and it does great with pedals as well. I can't say enough about these amps! Tom Karol November 25th, 2012, 09:33 AM I've had a JazzAmp112 for over 3 years, and I recently got a BluesAmp110 as well. With a hollow archtop, a thinline semi-hollow, a Tele, and a Carl Martin Quattro, these 2 amps - used alone or in combination - can cover any gig in any genre in any physical environment with consistently gorgeous tone. chezdeluxe November 25th, 2012, 04:30 PM The Henriksen amp itself has not changed over the years except for the addition of reverb which was once optional but is now standard. All the different combo models rely on switching speakers and cab size to achieve different voices. That's why I prefer the head and use it with a variety of cabs and speakers. e.g. Eminence Beta 10A (Essentially a bass speaker) is the original Jazzamp speaker and is a perfect old school Jazz tone match. Eminence 10" Ragin Cajun was the "Bluesamp" speaker and sounds sensational with a Tele. I have two 12" extension cabs . One with a JBL K120 the other with a Celestion Gold. Both are great speakers and the EQ range on the Henriksen head allows great individual sounds to be dialled in with a variety of my guitars. Use the head with a quality PA cab and you have a great acoustic steel string rig. The head is so small and portable that you can even sit it on top of another combo amp and use the combo speaker if you wish. Thoroughly recommend Henriksen. jvanoort February 25th, 2013, 04:17 AM This weekend I traded my Mesa Boogie F50 for a new Henriksen 112, an older type with the cooling fan. Great sound and quite portable still. I'm focussing more towards jazz and less pop and rock, so I feel I definately traded up! Besides, I still have my Mustang III for the occasional pop/rock gig :) As it is the older type I do hear the cooling fan when not playing, but it is not loud and doesn't really bother me. The moment I play I don't hear it at all. Also it doesn't have reverb, but to be honest: I play without reverb most of the time and if needed I have my TC Hall of Fame.
