question about previewing the first line of a new thread

on other message boards, it's usually possible to hover your mouse pointer over a thread title and it will show the first bit of the post. this can be handy, especially when the title is something vague like 'check this out!'.

it's become a habit for me, and i keep trying to use that function here. so i just thought i would ask if it's possible to do with this message board. seems like a useful function. thanks.

We used to do this, then we stopped to make the site load faster as we have grown larger and larger. However, we've been optimizing our server and we should probably give this feature another test.

I'll see what we can do about reactivating this for a test.

Keep in mind, if it impairs the website by swamping our server we'll need to turn this feature off again. So, don't count on this being a permanent change.

I really like this feature. Hope it works out.

This is a useful feature. Is there a way to only have the popup when hovering over the text of the post, instead of the line? It could cut down on server load as I visually scan the topics before going in for a closer look. Thanks.

Thanks for reactivating this feature... I love it!
