Hello!
Obviously new member here.
I admit I am odd, as my primary instrument isn't a Tele.
Ironically though, my first instrument was a National Tele copy. (Purchased used in June '73.) Ritchie Blackmore was my first guitar hero (although I loved the music of the Beatles) and so in September '74 I got my first Strat and I was a strat player until they became too popular in the '80s.
G&Ls for a few years, PRSi for a few years, Gibsons for a few, back to Strats .... and my current favorite is probably my G&L Superhawk.
Amps are also all over the place. The usual suspects: Fender, Marshall, Ampeg, Mesa Boogie, Orange, Genz-Benz but my current favorite ia a Carvin Bel Air (50w 2x12) with a Carvin 2x12 extension cabinet.
So how did I get here? I am a member on a number of other forums (same tag) and it seems this Forum is frequently linked to for great information. I have lurked for a while and been very impressed with the quality of the community, interaction and information. Also whenever I Google information, I seem to be led here, so it seemed like a good idea to join and begin to contribute and get to know you personally.
I do have my National Tele still and I also have a Squier Pro Tone Thinline Tele, both of which I like very much. I am sure as I hang around I will get GAS for a great Tele.
Who knows, I may even return to my first love as my main guitar .....
