I am always on the Rondo site oggling the cool looking guitars on there. For possible buys as testers before eventually getting the major brand in the form of Gibson, Gretsch, etc....now looking into a big hollow body type.

But question for you-
ALL of these dang things seem to have "Jumbo Frets". ?? This saddens me! But do any of you who have bought from the Rondo site found the Jumbos to be truly Jumbo?. As in, no fun for a guy who loves vintage frets?

thanks

I have an AL3100, which supposedly has jumbo frets. However, I don't think they're too big, more like medium frets. I have had guitars with jumbo frets that I ended up parting with, partly due to the size of the frets. I tend to fret a bit hard and jumbos don't handle that well.

My SX Strat frets are .110" wide and around .050" tall. My Epi dot's are .100" wide and .030" tall. My MIM Tele are .103" wide and .050" tall, just for comparison.
