Who's playin Halloween gigs this weekend and what...

Has anyone added some songs to mark the event such as 'Evil Women' 'Witchy Women' etc....

We've added a couple for our Friday nite gig and this is one of them below..no..this is not us :lol: However, I sure wish we had the Hot lick'n girls they have in this video that we could add to our stage show :shock::lol:

Tasty girls onstage, seem to add an awful lot to a rock n-roll show :cool:

Our band is playing a Halloween bash this Friday, and some of the tunes we're throwing in that have a loose Halloween theme/connection are Sympathy for the Devil, Werewolves of London, Superstition, Voodoo Woman, and, just for kicks, Highway to Hell!

We're playing at a local Eagles CLub Halloween party. It's our first gig. We're doing Monster Mash, Addams Family Theme, The Muensters Theme, and Evil Ways.

Our band was suppose to play this Saturday at an Elk's lodge but the event got cancelled due to poor ticket sales. Too bad, I really wanted to play "Spooky" again. I've always been partial to the Atlanta Rhythm Section's version.

We've got a wedding on Saturday. Our spookiest stuff will be the Screaming Jay Hawkins covers, I'll play a mix of Halloween tunes in between sets too.

But you can do the wedding classic He Stopped Loving Her Today.

I'll be playing with my former band, Tuatha who plays original world fusion music. I'll be joining in for a couple of songs. One is called Marrakech and since I'll be dressed as a Saharan Nomad, it'll be appropriate.

The gig is called The Witch's Ball at the Masonic Temple in Denver. I think it's the fifth year Tuatha has played. Several hundred people come and the costumes are great. It's one of my favorite gigs and I'd go to it even if I wasn't playing.

I'll be playing my first paying gig also. It's for a neighboring city that's having some kind of fall festival type of thing. They've requested country music. I'll do "Monster Holiday" for sure.

We're playing Saturday. We're practicing tonight to try to work up Monster Mash and Werewolves of London.

We did Black Sabbath's N.I.B. a couple of years ago along with Little Red Riding Hood, People are Strange, and the Ghostbusters Theme.

I've never done a Halloween weekend gig...I'm guessing the bars/beer joints are busy then for sure :shock::lol: I hope we blow the roof off that beer joint tomorrow nite :razz:

We were booked for a Saturday night Halloween costume gig, but then one of the bandmates had some medical issues and we had to cancel.

Guess I'll have to find another occasion for my leather pants. :cool:

Come on up then. But we don't do anything out of the ordinary. I don't think I ever have. Usually our patrons at our venues are too busy imbibing to know what day it is.

I am really feeling lazy after reading everyones plans. We're playing a house party Friday nite with three other bands. Playing the same one hour set we've done the last two months. We aren't even practicing. :roll:

I hope you are going to video cam some of that show to share with us on Youtube :wink: Geeze you are way up North...I don't think If I left now that I would make it in time for your show :shock::lol:

What, no "Thriller"?

That's the one we'll be adding this weekend. We already do "Spooky", Classics IV version straight into "Stormy".

Maybe we'll find out why more people don't try "Thriller". I would not be surprised if we crash and burn on it! It is pretty tricky. We only ran though it a couple of times the other day and decided we'll do a shortened version - basically just 2 verses and choruses then end with one of our singers doing some of the scary voice bit and we'll skip all the other changes.

Like I said we don't do anything different but I did check the map to see where this place is and it's surrounded by 3 cemeteries.

"Spooky" is a good one.
John Anderson has a great cover of "Haunted House".
Gotta learn that one.
"Werewolves Of London" usually pops out, too.
