Another buzzy one!

Just got this guitar, plugged it in and I hear a swarm of angry bees and some very faint music underneath.

I had a problem like that once before where the wires on the output jack were switched, but the solder joints on this one look untouched so I don't know if that's the problem.

The bridge ground wire is definitely in contact with the bridge plate.

Here are some pictures of the wiring, do you see any obvious issues that could be causing the buzz? The pictures are pretty big, if you click them you should see a nice huge look at the wiring cavity.

Thanks guys!

Just for starters, on the Top Pic the sleeve on the Jack is filthy.

Try cleaning that 1st to establish a good ground from your Guitar cable.

A corroded/oxidized connection like that can cause a ton of noise. get a new jack or clean that one out with some sandpaper and contact cleaner.

You made the diagnosis. That was it. Some sandpaper and contact cleaner and it's ready for another million miles of service.

When I first opened the cavity there were dust bunnies on the selector switch. I blew it out with compressed air and cleaned everything. Except the jack! But it's fixed now.

Thanks again
