Well after my number 1 strat got its neck broken, I began my search for another guitar. Now I have a problem and will not buy a new guitar. I just wont do it. So I searched craigslist to no avail, and then checked out guitar centers used stuff on line. They showed a midnight wine HSS strat in stock. SO I went to play it and check it out. The guitar played good even though the setup was far from perfect. The nut needed a little filing, and the trem bridge was pulled up way to far, but they threw in a pack of springs for free. SO I bought the guitar and did as good as a setup as I can do on it. Well it played its first show last night with the praise band and it performed admirably. Now I still miss my number one but this ones holding its own.

Nice.

Have you fixed or replaced the neck on your number 1 yet?

Not yet, still searching for a neck. I just cant bring myself to pay for a warmouth neck because they cost more than I payed for the whole guitar.

I'm telling you - look into getting the old neck fixed. Sure, it may hurt the resale value, but it may also make it live again -- if you weren't planning on selling it, anyway, and it really is your No. 1, it can't hurt to ask. And the neck will still have all that mojo.

I might If I could find a person capable of such a feat. After looking at it again with a cooler head it might be able to be fixed but I cant do it.
