I've a CV Thinline, all stock except for a 52RI neck I had and put on her before I ever even plugged her in..
I'm using DR Pure Blues 11's and I'm having an issue with the 1st and 2nd (E and B) strings being too bright..If I lower the treble on the amp or turn the tone knob down (I usually run it about 3/4 anyway) to tame the high strings, the lower strings get a bit muddy..I've tried lowering and raising the pickups to all sorts of different heights (all extremes) and nothing seems to tame it..
So, I guess I don't really like the stock bridge pickup..I love the lower strings when the tone is up and would like to keep that "cut" but tame the high end on the E and B a bit..
Ideas?
