ive been e-mailing forrest lee Jr. about building me my first bender im gonna go all in with a g/b. i have not had the chance to talk to him on the phone he's gone this week but when he gets back im gonna get the ball rolling on this. im sure he will have great input but i was just wanting some other suggestions. and things to think about.

at first i was wanting a esquire. this is just gonna be for chicken pickin. but now im thinking about going with three pickups. i have a feeling this will be my #1 axe. what would you go with. i love simplicity and the look of the esquire. and i have other guitars. also i have bardens in my strat and tele. i was thinking something different for the bridge pup on this. or do i stay with bardens. also any other suggestions and things i may need to know about benders are more than welcome. thanks to all

Congrats in advance .I have had My Forrest Customs double bender for a couple , Maybe 3 Years now and I love it . Never had a 3 pickup Tele so I got nothin as far as advice there (but I too like the simplicity/
look of Esquires).I have Duncan alnico pro 2's in mine and they do everything I want them to do. You are in good hands ,post pics when Ya get it and say Howdy to Forrest.

You're going to have fun, no matter which way you go. The only thing I've found with three pickups, the middle one gets in the way of my fingers when doing any kind of "chicken pickin". Of course, I've always had that problem with strats....

Let us know what you decide and post some pics when you get it!

Twere I going to do another bender guitar, it would be my Zion, Thinline Tele. It has three Bardens. I have an ancient Barden bridge pup that I've tried on every other Tele, and not liked it at all! Something about the Thinline, hollow deal, just makes them sound wonderful!

Why Esquire? Why not have a neck pickup?.. I had an Esquire once and felt it was too limiting tone-wise for no good reason (that I could think of)

I really like the look. This will be used mainly for twanging/chicken pickin. My other tele has bardens. My es-175 has p90s and my 335 buckers. If I'm gonna go jazzing or need a over driven neck sound I got better options.
