First post here.murff625 October 10th, 2011, 09:40 AM Long time bender. Here's one I did a week or two ago. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p17b3vnKN2g murff625 October 10th, 2011, 09:47 AM A few more. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FPqmxFP9_eU&feature=related http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YkjlWlB7fOE http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zSxHgRLDcbc&feature=related telex76 October 10th, 2011, 11:44 AM Welcome. Great stuff. Sounds the way I like it. Whats your bender set up? murff625 October 10th, 2011, 12:44 PM Thanks telex76. My Tele is kind of a FrankenTele. It started out an an ESP 400 series double bound seafoam green Tele. I got it in a pawn shop in 93 or 94 for $140. I had been using a palm pedal for a few years so I took it to Joe Glaser and had a Glaser Bender installed. He also routed it for middle and neck Strat pickups. A few years later I replaced the ESP neck with a Fender neck. I always had a love/hate relationship with the seafoam green color so last year I had it refinished in black. It currently has a Texas Special in the bridge and Fender Strat pickups in the middle and neck positions. I play through a Fender Deluxe Reverb reissue with a Boss Blues Driver. If it's a good gig I'll also bring my Leslie Model 16. When recording at home I use Line 6 POD Farm with a Line 6 UX2 Toneport and record with Cakewalk Sonar. Don Miller October 10th, 2011, 01:00 PM Really nice...the first tune could have been an instrumental track for a Linda Ronstadt ballad back when Sneaky Pete and the Eagles were backing her up...real nice vibe to it... murff625 October 10th, 2011, 01:14 PM Thank you sir. I loved that period of time musically speaking. Don Miller October 10th, 2011, 03:18 PM Yeah you nailed that early 70s LA Country rock feel....the changes are very much in the style of someone like JD Souther, the arrangement could be a Linda Ronstadt tune or anywhere on the first 3 Eagles Albums...one can almost hear those multilayered harmonies on top of it... is that an original? murff625 October 10th, 2011, 03:24 PM It was something kind of thrown together a couple of weeks ago as an excuse to use the B Bender. I've been playing a bunch of blues lately on my Gibson ES-339 as well as the Tele and realized I hadn't done anything with the B bender in a while. I put some chord changes together and kind of fleshed things out with Band in A Box. I flew the tracks over to Sonar and replaced them with actual guitar and bass parts and also replaced the drum parts with EZ Drummer. gumbo October 11th, 2011, 08:15 AM Beautiful Stuff!!! Thank you! murff625 October 11th, 2011, 08:53 AM Thanks Gumbo. |
