Boss make some great ones. I have a CH-1, but it's not as good as the CE models. It just does not have the depth.

Yup the Maxon is awesome (both the CS-550 and the CS-9). Also you could try out the Red Witch Empress which is also one of my personal favorites or the Earthquaker Devices Sea Machine which is super flexible and an all round great unit.
For something a little simpler you could go for the amazing Jaques Meistersinger or if you are one of those "I always hated chorus" people there is always the Neunaber Chroma Chorus (soon to be in stereo) or the Fromel Seraph (modified Boss Dimension C clone).

Hope I was of service.

I have owned a lot of different chorus pedals, vintage and modern, I keep going back to the Boss CE3.
They sound great to me, are well built and you can still find them at a fairly reasonable price , cheaper than most new chorus pedals.

Chorus isn't something I use all the time , when I do the Boss CE3 works fine and sounds great. I have actually owned a few of the CE2 models and I prefer the CE3. I didn't like any of the newer Boss chorus pedals that I've tried, too suble IMO.

Look for a used DOD FX 65 Stereo Chorus. I found one for $30 and it has never really left my board.

Ahhhhh, my love-N-hate modulation.

EHX Stereo PolyChorus is theee one to own - YMMV.

I have heard good things about the Strymon Ola and T-Rex Twister.

The Jacques Meistersinger is an old-school analog chorus that is perfect for more subtle use. Highly recommended.

The TC Corona is the only new chorus that really has me interested. It's just priced out of my league.

But I just picked up a used Boss CE-5 because I consider them to be a steal for $30-40 on the used market right now. A solid dependable pedal with the classic Boss chorus sound.
But really, finding a chorus pedal to suit is like shopping for ice cream.

EHX Small Clone. Totally inexpensive pedal with great sound. It's a classic.
If you want a more subtle chorus, a Boss CH-1 will be fine.

Edit: if you would buy a Boss, I'd suggest you look for an older one with analog circuitry. Those sound better and warmer than the current models. You'll find the exact info on www.bossarea.com.

Ibanez CS-9 Reissue. It always was the warmest. Still is the warmest.

I gigged a real one in the 80's and I have a reissue now.

This. Try one please.

Boss ce-3 with the pedal hacker wet dream mod. A/B'ed it with a friends stock ce-3, much more "sea sicky", lush.

I have that little guy on the bottom (I wish it was still working). I have dreams about having the other one sitting on top of my Twin.

I have one of these for sale for $35 if interested. Just not using chorus right now.

Just bought a Ibanez CS 505 from 1980, it's analogue and the best chorus I've ever played. Highly recommended. Not cheap, but they come up on eBay occasionally.

I really like an arion chorus for deep leslie tones the sch-1 are better but the newer ones aren't bad for 50 bucks brand new, and I like the chroma chorus for a subtle slow or subtle fast chorus but that cost 200.00.

If you can find Boss CE 2 on ebay or whatever with a good price go grab one. I've tried Small Clone, CH 1, H2O but CE2 still the one the fits me, no over modulated signal. But you still can get those warbly tone with your guitar still ringing clear.

visual sound H20. . .includes chorus and echo. I think the two go great together, and they are excellent by themselves.

I've been using mine forever...I love it. Analog warmth but still crisp. Digital's great, too. I like TC Electronic stuff in that area.

I HIGHLY recommend an AC adaptor with the Small Clone. It eats up batteries like none other.

+1 on this pedal, I actually still have my original and it is so lush and warm, my goodness I will never give it up. This pic is of my 83, look at the condition, still amazingly mint, just a lil faded. Actually all of those Ibanez pedals in this pic are originals, that Ts-9 is to die for. My board look's a little different now but I still own everything there except weeping demon, I sold that and went back to the higher priced crybaby series, cantrell model, Bada$$ pedal

Everyone needs at least one Small Clone with that deep switch feature. The AD-9 sounds great too, just different from the Small Clone. Boss Super Chorus for run of the mill, everyday texturing.
