What happened to Strat-Talk?

I know there are many here that also belong to Strat-Talk.com.

I tried logging on this morning, got a message saying they were moving to a new server at 7:30 AM, and would be back up in 2-4 hours. Still got the same message this afternoon around 4 or 5. Now it's totally gone, and I get a message from my browser "You see this page because there is no Web site at this address."

What happened?!?

Those server moves rarely go as planned.

It's an imperfect world.

I can't count the times the software people would install a patch saying "this will be transparent to you" followed fairly quickly by an entire systems crash.

On a Saturday.....

Right after they all went home.....

And wouldn't answer the phone......

Something wrong on your end. The Strat-Talk move went super fast and super easy. Sounds like you're reaching the old IP address still when everyone else has moved to the new IP address.

There were 200 people online at ST within 45 mins after the server move.

A good first step is to reboot everything, router, modem and computer. But for some reason your set up is holding on to the old IP.

Another thing to try if you still aren't getting to the new Strat-Talk server is to flush your DNS cache.

Here's a link to a tutorial:

The flush didn't even help, but a total reboot of computer and modem did. Thanks guys!
