Making an American Nashville bridge fit an Asian bushing [Archive]

Ok, this isn't a tele, but it could apply to certain models with a tune-o-matic. The original bushing is m8 sized, and the tonepros bridge I have lying around is much smaller. The obvious solution would be to order these:

But I'm also toying with the idea of plugging the existing holes and redrilling smaller ones for the tonepros bushings. the new bushing would cover up the plug, and if done right could look good.

Opinions? Worth the effort?
