P90's with a twist

Hi Everyone,
Tim Galloway of the Jake Owen band played my CoolCat P90 on stage at the Keith Urban concert Saturday night.
I make my P90's a little different by making my own frame from Canadian Maple instead of plexiglas like all the rest. Why put a cold reflective piece of plastic inside when I can make the heart from tone wood!

Maple frame ?

I guess I should explain it better the metal frame at the bottom is the same the middle part is usually made from plexiglass and I cut mine from Maple and use fiber flatwork. I think this helps the tone because the plexiglas is hard and reflective. It cost more to do it this way but I think it's worth it in TONE.

D. Allen i'm with you. I believe that, within reason, every part of a musical instrument should have musical qualities. I can see that it might be tough to make neck bolt on screws that would hold the neck on tight out of sitka spruce. Don't know for sure if it makes it better, hard to see it making things worse
