So, I have just recieved from my girlfriend a butterscotch blonde Squier Tele and ive noticed that the neck is so much lighter coloring compared to the body. Now in ther intrest in keeping this stock, is there anyway to darker the neck's white color? Would leaving it in the sun help or will i be forced to refinish the neck for any change?

I used an affinity neck for my last build. I just scuffed up the neck with some steel wool, Sprayed some amber shellac through a preval. Then sprayed some lacquer. Turned out great and easy to do.
Not sure if that will match the shade of your body but you definitely have some options.

Mohawk also makes a transparent amber lacquer toner. It is a lightly pigmented lacquer so you can do the whole thing in one shot...for under 6/can.

Hi guys, new here and I have the intention of spraying my Squier Tele neck to give it the amber tint. The original neck is all maple wih a satin urethane finish. What are the preparation steps before I spray?
1) Do I ned to sand it first?
2) Do I need to mask out the frets?
3) what else?
Cheers.
