Blackberry issues

I view from a blackberry.
TGP...10 seconds to load
HC...15 seconds
This page...four minutes with a bunch of red Xs all over it and I finally told it to stop.
I'd spend a lot more time here if it didn't load like that. Has always been this way for me. Worst site on the web for use with a mobile.

I've been on an extended trip for the past few weeks. I've used ipad, iphones and laptops from the deep woods to vast prairie. From small cities to very remote wilderness. And I've never experienced any slowdowns, missing images or delays.

Also, we have close to 10,000 mobile users every day and you are the only person reporting any issues. Though, we don't really have many Blackberry users, in general. Since we don't offer a Blackberry app. I think you'd find the TDPRI to be vastly better than the other sites you mention on a iOS or Andrioid device. Since the majority of our users are looking for our site to be optimized for those devices, those are the devices we have invested in.

I hope you figure out what your problem is so that you can enjoy the site like the rest of us.

Here are our stats for mobile uses over the past 30 days. We have free mobile apps for iOS and Android:

iPhone -- 43,423

iPad -- 27,370

Android -- 23,028

iPod -- 7,574

BlackBerry -- 1,651

Perhaps no one visits with Blackberry devices because your site doesn't support them?

Unfortunately, we can't support every mobile device. So we have invested in the most popular such devices. Blackberry is a popular corporate email device, but iOS and Android are many times more popular for web browsing on a mobile platform worldwide. Not just at the TDPRI.

Notice that we currently do not support Win 7 Mobile nor Symbian or WebOS either. If demand for any of these picks up we will work toward supporting these devices in the future.

The built in Blackberry browser is less than ideal on many sites. I use Opera Mini quite reliably on this site on my Blackberry Curve. Give it a shot.

I have a BlackBerry Curve 8530 and the browser is so slow it's pretty much unusable for almost any site. I thought I had it set wrong or something, but a lot of people have told me the BlackBerry browser stinks.

Opera Mini? How do I get that? Sounds like a problem solver.

Yes

Use the stinky browser and go to m.opera.com to download. Not great, but it works.

Blackberry has some cool features but web surfing isn't one of them. RIM has dropped the ball since Apple and Google came to the game.
