Someone I know happened across this in their grandmas garage... No serial number, but it does have Japan written on it somewhere. Brand is Rigiletto.
Any hints or info about it would be great. It is not currently in my care.
Hardware has been taken off for a bit of a clean up.

wow....with that name (even misspelled), most search engines crash into Verdi first.
No idea, but it looks like the lowend of OEM....possibly a housebrand for a local music store?
With the 'Steel Reinforced neck' label and screwdown bridge, I'm guessing late 50's to early 70's, but I doubt you'll get anything more specific than that. That was a campfire guitar when it was first made. (sorry if I offend).

Nah yeah I can tell it isn't amazing, but quirky stuff just has a bit of cool factor. Did I spell the name wrong or did the factory?
I will do some more googling on Verdi.
Late '50s to early '70s sounds pretty cool.

Looks like a MIJ Harmony.
Is that a sticker over the model number?

That sticker doesn't cover anything - We tried pulling a bit of it up and there was nothing underneath.

Looks like something that could have been made by Suzuki...I have a bunch of old Yamaha Dynamics...from the early `50s to the mid `60s...same headstock shape only the Dynamics have a single covered bolt on the bridge...have seen several brands with the two bolt bridges on line here in Japan...could be a Tenryu made guitar as well, that truss rod cover looks like something from the `70s to me.

As for the mis-spelling...happens a great deal in Japan, evidently they don`t place a premium on proof reading.
