Is your band on SoundCloud?

I had checked this out before, but never got into it. A buddy of mine, and fellow TDPRI member sent me a link to some of his stuff, and I like the site. The mobile app isn't bad either. Just signed up today, so I don't have any tunes up for solo or band stuff, but will soon. Would like to check out what you guys are playing. Post a link so we can check us out!

I'll have to take a look as I see this more and more. I use soundclick just for stuff I post and can listen to at work. I also tried out the reverb nation site and it's ok. So for now, no.

I've tried them all it seems like, and there a couple of pros to this site. #1 for me is the mobile app. Very nice, and its easy to see the benefits of having a set of headphones, handing them to the bar owner and playing your demo for them. Easy to follow other bands as well. I like reverbnation for other reasons, but I think I'm going to like this a bit more.

Does it hook into facebook too? We're starting to try to use that bit so anything will help. I guess i should just check it out myself instead of asking you.

Haven't quite gotten there yet. Once I do, I'll update.

I have stuff on 'soundcloud'.
It's clean looking, very few if any ads, the fidelity seems good and I've yet to experience a glitch.

*I also do soundclick, reverbnation and my 'myspace' site is still there too.

We're on it but I don't see it doing much. Several folks are following us but they're following a few hundred other bands and just want us to reciprocate.

It's very easy to use and looks pretty good, though.

I like RootMusic because it's easy to link to Facebook... but I don't believe in staying "loyal" to any particular free service. Once upon a time, MySpace was the bees knees for band promotion, and now it's pretty much useless.

Other than the Classy Suit vs Plaid Mini...my pic looks a lot like MN Punks.

And has RootMusic done you any good?

A good HB tele deserves a close-up "action" shot.

Yeah, it's a handy way to build a "band page" on your facebook site, and they even provide you a short url you can put on business cards and what-not that take people straight to your song demos & gig announcements. Our is

We're pretty happy with it so far.

Thanks for testing. This is our new chick singer. It's not us but it's all we have right now to use for promo.

She is the most un-chick-singer-like chick singer I have ever met. She's just one of us. "what key?" - "just pick one".

This is her: http://www.facebook.com/#!/profile.php?id=1653562116

Can't believe I forgot to put my page up. Well, I only have one song for now, but I hope to add one a week over the next few months or so. This is my solo acoustic stuff. Check it out!

My band uses soundcloud because it makes posting single songs to facebook very easy, and you don't even need to leave the facebook page to play the song. It basically has the song streaming on whatever page you share the song with. It also makes sharing originals between band members very easy. I record a very raw version directly on to soundclound using just my computer mic, share with the band, they listen and do their own thing--no burning cds or massive e-mail shares.

I've been trying to sort out the best way to go myself. As far as just sharing music Soundcloud is great. I've been dabbling with Reverb Nation since they seem to have good promotional tools and you can distribute through iTunes, Amazon, etc. I am of the mind at this point the more the merrier.
