The drummer in my band wants to do some vocal harmonies and would prefer a headset microphone rather than have to sing into a boom-mounted mic. does anyone have any recommendations for either specific models or what we should be looking for?

A drummer I know uses a lesser mic and it sounds like something that should be used to say "Would you like fries with that?". I do sound for them once in a while and I want to take up a collection to buy him the Crown mic.

I needed a headset mic some months back for a few shows. Looked at a Shure I forget the model. Okay, but sweaty headband and so so sound. AT's and Senn's were too dear if probably better. Crown looked a bit bulky, I wasn't able to try.
I ended up with an AKG C555L and belt pack, which was decent in price, comfortable and nice sounding. Not too bulky or obtrusive either. Gets used every other week for a few hours, rechargeable 9v battery that I've only recharged once in several months. I didn't look at wireless models perse, though I think a couple of them, including this one can be used that way if you wish. Another option anyway.

Thanks Kristina - will look into the AKG.
The Crown sounds good but I can't see it available anywhere in the UK.

Whew. For a minute there I thought this was heading to the drummer saying "hey guys, I wrote a couple of songs....."
