Any other owners here? I just traded for one and It seems to be a very versatile amp. Any suggestions for mods of any kind?

Not an owner of this amp but I played one in a shop recently and thought it was AWESOME. Very versatile as mentioned. It had a ton of knobs and buttons and options which I didn't really care for, but it sounded fantastic.

very versatile amp

Yep, that's my take on it. It's the only amp I've tried that works well with a bunch of different guitars. Most amps, I find, work well with certain specific guitars, but the Bogner is a real all-rounder.

I recently gigged mine, for the first time. Used a Tele, a Strat, and a Gretsch 6120 -- the Alchemist sounded great with everything.

I may try another speaker in mine. I love the Weber speaker, I have a blue dog in a 1x12 cab but i have read that the 12f150b is a good one to put in this amp. Any other I should be made aware of?

I've been thinking the same. Changing the speaker that is.
Something that lends itself more to a warm, clear sparkly American tone rather than the Brit punch of that Celestion V30.

Had the head version for a while. I liked it for the coverband/everything in one box tones. Not so much for the tele/strat player looking for country crossover tones. I traded it off for cash and the Blackheart BH15H head to go with the little giant I already had. Now the 15 watt head is all I play.

I got a head/cab combo. I bought the head new at a local shop and got the cab on craigslist. I have a TungSol in V1, stock EXH in V2, and V3, a Sovtek in V4 and here's the magic...a 12AT7 (ECC81) in V5 (PI) slot. That lower gain tube in the PI slot really opens this amp up IMO. Sounds fantastic. I'm still not completely sure it'll be my 'forever' amp, but I do like it.

Has anyone managed to convert the effects loop from parallel to series??? The parallel loop ruins that amp. (for me) Thanks.
