I wondered if Joe has made many G and B benders in the same guitar...I played one of them many years ago owned by a friend. I am not sure, but it seems he made the whole guitar, as it was not a Fender. Is that something he did then? It was a great guitar. I remember it had a real fat neck, it had the belt loop control for the G and the strap control for the B. I wish I'd had more time to mess with it! Does anyone here have a Glaser? I remember being in Corner Music with my friend while he was picking it up after some adjustments. He had a gig that night and Joe had it ready to go for him.

The most prominent examples that come to mind are Steve Wariner, Ricky Skaggs, Jimmy Olander

I had a Glaser put in my candy apple red 62 reissue Tele back in 90 or 91. B bender only. If I remember correctly, he did make guitars....didn't he make a Dano style baritone? I also remember John Jorgenson telling me about his custom baritone that was made from a Glaser body.
The Glaser bender was nice and worked well, but I was never crazy about the neck plate type lever actuator.

Yes, seems like there was a Glaser Dano shaped baritone, but not 100% sure. The store he worked out of carried a Dano style, but I'm not recalling the brand. I've heard nothing but good comments about his repair work.

During the 80's many of the session guys here in town either bought Glaser made Tele types with double benders, or had a single, or double put in their main Tele. For example, Brent Rowan has a double bender Glaser Tele, while Reggie Young has a double bender in his '69 Tele. There are few examples of Reggie using the benders.
Glaser made Dano type instruments until Jerry Jones started his business. Joe bowed out as to not compete with Jerry.
John Jorgenson has a 6-string bass made from a Glaser made Dano style neck with a Premier body, and vintage Dano pickups. He played this guitar at the DRB reunion show here in Nashville last year.

My friend who had the Glaser b/g bender was Mike Thomas, if you remember his work with T.Graham Brown, Sawyer Brown, and Reba. We went to Corner Music together where I met Joe Glaser and carried some things into the shop for him. He said one of the guitars I was carrying was Emmylou's. I was careful!

I have a lefty ASAT Classic with a double bender installed in 1993 which John and Joe told me was the first. I got my first Glaser b in an ASAT Special two years earlier. Both still work fine.
