"Worked" my first neck tonight! [Archive]

My girlfriend's pink Squier Bullet Strat came from the Orient with unrolled, very crisp, rosewood fretboard edges. It kind of made the guitar a chore to play. So tonight, I grabbed a sanding sponge since I don't own a file and started softening the edges. I also was able to sand out a factory drip in the poly on the back of the neck at the headstock. The frets feel a little taller now but they don't stick out at all and they're quite smooth. I had previously installed a set of Aaron Campbell's Rumplestiltskin "Pre CBS" pickups and upgraded the pots and switch as well. I rubbed the neck with some almond oil and it's just fantastic! It's amazing what a difference feel and playability make. The guitar sounds the same as it did, but it's a totally different animal now.
