The Workshop: A new forum?

This would be a forum about tools and workshops that would answer questions and have discussions about the tools used specifically in guitar repair, building and maintenance.

For example Ron’s sticky thread in 'Tele Tech' about fret leveling would be a perfect example of what I’m talking about. Fret levelling is not unique to Teles but requires specific tools and skills that could be usefully discussed in it's own forum.

It would be devoted to concerns like....
How do I route a pickup hole?
What kind of router bit do I need for...?
Can you help me design my workshop?
How do I use a chisel properly?
How do I cut a nut?
How do I cut a template with a bandsaw?

That sort of stuff.

Right now there's no clear place for those specific kinds of topics.

I just posted concerning a whole bunch of new tools that will allow me to do fretwork and make nuts etc and it wasn't really clear where I should post. Tele Tech seems like a choice but my post is not really about Teles or their specific technical considerations. Bad Dog is where I wound up posting but it would be nice to attract readers who have specific interests in discussing tools.

I’m guessing the last thing that the mods want is another forum to patrol but I thought I’d offer up the idea at least. I think it could be really useful.

Perhaps. Let me consider it for a while. Thanks for the suggestion.
