Hello,
I started modifying guitars about 30 years ago.
Besides playing guitar (the Tele has always been my favourite one) and bass, "making compendiums" is one of my hobbies ...
My new "Telecaster Schaltplansammlung" is online now (100% cost free!!!).
What's that???
This is a 5MB pdf-file with 211 pages and 130 wiring diagrams for the Telecaster (Esquier, Double Esquier, Broadcaster, Nocaster).
Besides the WISYWIG diagrams, each wiring diagram has a "wiring schematic" and which pickup is on/off in which position.
In the "theoretical part" I show how pickups are built, things about volume and tone control and how switches work.
Especially the "Megaswitches" might be intersting, because besides exactly drawn circuit passes, I show the "pass schematics" of these switches and how they work. I think that's unique so far on the internet?
There also is a huge part about the bodies, necks, hardware and colours of the Telecaster, how to date an old Tele +++
The compendium is only in German.
But the wiring diagrams and schematics might help you anyway.
You will quickly find out that "Masse" means "ground", "Hals" means "neck position" or "Steg" means "bridge position". In Germany we use some other symbols - but I managed to read english schematics very quickly, too.
Only the history part might cause problems for you (too much German texts) ...
But there are excellent other sources than my Telecaster history in English on the internet!
I used many english online sources for my history, but my history is not the translation of an English text! I have been making own researches on Fender instruments for some years now ...
Maybe you have a try with my "Schaltplansammlung" (sounds like "shultplan somelung" ) ...
The link to the pdf file is at the end of the page "F-Telecaster-Schaltungen-241.pdf":
