Hello all,
I am new to this forum.
Anyways I have a few questions. I going to soon put together my pedal board and I had some questions.
At the moment I only have two pedals. I know I will need a pedal board soon, but I am not sure which one.
Here are the pedals I already have or that will be on it:
TC Electronics Nova Drive (Already owned) 12v DC 300ma
EHX Cathedral (Already Owned) 9v
TC Electronics Nova repeater 12v DC 300ma
EHX Ravish Sitar 9v
EHX HOG 9VDC/500mA AC
TC Electronics Poly Tune 9V DC
EHX wiggler 12VAC/1000mA
Vox Joe Satriani big bad wah 9V
EHX Soul Preacher 9.6 Volts DC 200mA
So here is what I need help on. These pedals will take up a lot of space and I want 3 expression pedals and volume pedal. So what Pedal board would be good for this? I want something tough, because it will be taken places a couple times a week. I don't care about weight that much. I have been looking at the pedal train pro with the flight case, but I am wondering what good DIY options there are for pedal boards. In a studio I know I have seen a homemade pedal board with a case, but the maker and owner wasn't there at the studio that day so I never got to ask them about it.
Obviously these pedals have a variety a power needs. What is the best option for that? Should I get an 8 plug in voodoo lab and then plug the weird ones into a strip underneath the board? Also EHX pedals say in the Manuel not to change the power supply, but that is ok if its to the same voltage yes? (sorry I don't really know I am assuming...)
Also some pedal selection help.
What is a good volume pedal? Which one do you guys like? something sturdy that is smooth that isn't unreasonably expensive...
Also what are some good expression pedals? Hoping there are some cheaper one that do the job.
Aslo with the EHX HOG and the TC Nova Pedals just how much more essential is having the extra extension pedals?
thanks guys for helping me out. Sorry I am new to a lot of the pedal stuff and I am definitely still learning.
