My First Fender Precision Bass

I've been playing bass over 30 years. I started
with a Westone Electra JB style bass and got a
Peavey Patriot for a backup.

It stayed that way for 30 years. In my old age,
I yearned for that P bass sound. I've been L@@kin
for my P bass.

I think I found it.

It's a Mexican body, a Mighty Mite Jazz neck
and an Duncan SP3 pickup.

MIM with stripped out truss rod $120. MM Jazz neck
$100. SP3 pup, $80.

$300 got me a nice P bass with a nice Jazz neck. Not
a bad deal if you ask me. And I'm the one who is
counting here.

I hand painted the head stock logo,

The neck is awesome. This bass sounds awesome and
is so responsive,,, I love it,

I simply admire the body color.
Astounding

I have been told that it's "Midnight Blue"

That sounds abought right to me. I do love
the color though.

I have seen others try without success to
photograph this color indoors.

I had to have outside indirect sunlight to
get what I got with my cheap camera.

I am very happy with the looks. The body
is a 2000 MIM P body.

That was when Fender changed woods. I
don't know if it is poplar or alder?

I always wondered what color my strat was. I think that is it, midnight blue. Here is a poor picture. It is a beautiful deep blue color, hard to photograph to do it justice. It would match your nice looking bass and I do prefer the Jazz neck.

sweet looking bass...I havn't played bass in over ten years now, partly because my love of telecasters and guitar playing in general has led me in that direction. I will confess though that I sometimes miss being the guy playing that signiture bass line or standing back with the drummer as we put down that foundation that makes the song what it its. As a bass player I also found I had a lot more time to check out the cute girls in the crowd. Bonus lol

Nice Bass. I play Bass and Guitar. I use to have a P Bass, 70 model years ago. Wish I still had it. P Basses are probably the most played of any bass out there and copied, body style that is. Nice Bass, good color pick! Blue is cool. I had a sunburst.
